Upcoming TiltMeter Pro 3.1
Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 8:12PM It's been a busy week. After a bug found on our latest 3.0 update, we decided to take more time on our tests. We received a lot of emails from our customers, because they were confused about the new calibration process, how it was no so intuitive, and laborious to say the least. So we decided to redesign it, and we think we got it right this time. The problem with the calibration process is that it should be a one time process, so we didn't try to put much effort on the whole procedure. We rethought that, and now, the new calibration mode, as we call it, should be a breeze, intuitive, and enjoyable. So here a list of what is new to version 3.1:
- Completely redesigned calibration mode from the ground up.
- New Bubble Level. Now, with a swipe from your finger on the main screen, you will be able to discover a new way to make your measurements. We hope you enjoy using it.
- Smoother animations.
- Sending log now uses our mail servers. No more complex setup for you.
- Improved graphics.
So what took us so long, well, optimizations. We were testing our application on an iPod Touch 2G, and as you may now know, it comes with a better processor than the iPhone 3G. So basically our app was running well. But we heard some complains from our customers, and decided to fully test it on an iPhone 3G. We were having some memory and fps issues with the animations. We redesigned all the animations, and now the application is smoother in every way.
